For the last two decades &#8220;Cap&#8217;n Mike&#8221; has been sailing the sounds of North Carolina, the Chesapeake Bay and the east coast from Maine to Key West, Florida as well as the Intracoastal Waterway, the British and <br>U.S. Virgin Islands and the Bahamas. He&#8217;s logged over 17,000 miles and spent more time on the water than he can count, including 160 days at sea delivering sailboats ranging from a 27&#8242; sloop to a 72&#8242; ketch. He&#8217;s also acted as Captain onboard private sailboats in the Bahamas. He was formally a certified Instructor for the American Sailing Association from Basic Keelboat through Advanced Coastal Cruising, Coastal Navigation, Docking and Cruising Multihull Endorsements and the US Sailing Smallboat and Keelboat racing oriented courses.
